چکیده
Non-aureus staphylococci and the closely related mammaliicoccal species (NASM) are most common causes of bovine subclinical mastitis on modern dairy farms highly prevalent in bulk-tank milk. The purpose this study was to determine distribution NASM both composite cow milk (CCM) (BTM) samples collected tandem commercial Flemish herds estimate origin different (subgroups of) present BTM by applying strain typing (Random Amplification Polymorphic DNA or Random amplified [RAPD]). A single cross-sectional sampling performed over 5 that volunteered participate study. Composite (n = 356) were from all lactating cows (except those with clinical mastitis) during a milking 6 per herd sequentially immediately post 30). In total, 420 81 isolates recovered identified MALDI-TOF MS CCM samples, respectively total 21 12 respectively. Staphylococcus cohnii found followed haemolyticus, epidermidis, Mammaliicoccus lentus, equorum, whereas S. hemolyticus, cohnii, chromogenes. distinct for each herd, corroborating other studies observing herd-specific microbiota. analysis 9 (S. chromogenes, sciuri, xylosus, debuckii, M. lentus) because these isolated sample types herd. same RAPD selected varying degrees. When assessing species, differences within should be examined meaning closer look taken at level rather than only.

Sufficient evidence exists to effect that milk is an excellent source of nutrients for both man (Sharma and Joshi, 1992) and bacteria (Henry and Newlander, 1997). It is therefore required that milk be consumed only after it is pasteurized to make it safe. Unfortunately, recent evidence has revealed postpasteurization contamination of milk with pathogenic bacteria (Oliver et al., 2005) and antib...
